Description

In the densely populated Hong Kong, waste is a complex issue, in which having the highest disposal rate per person at 1.53 kg daily. “Plastscape” is an extreme narrative project which take place after the Hong Kong landfills full. It is designated to showcase the self motivated, manual recycling strategy which is able to form a mutual beneficial relationship within the community circulation. A building with an alleyway in Tai Kok Tsui has been used as a example to demonstrate the future possibilities of habitat for domestic recycling. With the cooperation between residents, rag-pickers and kitchen labor, in using existing buildings and creative contraptions , the community itself are able in generating recycle products that can feed back to the restaurant and different social parties.
