Description

With high-density urban environments, people in cities are experiencing various kinds of work-life conflicts which easily turn into mental and physical illness. Traditional Chinese treatment is more focused on patients’ holistic physical condition which gradually recentres the balance of the body. Therefore, integrating the advantages of traditional Chinese treatments can tackle the core causes of existing problems. This project is framed with the concept of holism as a healing strategy for the environment. Through exploring each organ’s healing space in different presentation methods from 2D to 4D, the project aims to reinterpret the healing space inside the city and reconnect the space to our own bodies of existence which highlights the reorganization and adjustment of the organ’s scales. In doing so the design shifts environmental attention and brings new awareness to the holistic arrangement for the body-ecology, so as to create a healthy future for mankind and urban dweller.
