Description

We are living in an increasingly technological era. More and more objects surrounding us are being transformed into smart beings with AI and IOT. They are constantly listening, collecting and storing information about us. They are also gradually shaping change in our behaviours. These processes and changes however, often go unnoticed and invisible in our day to day life. My project, Unobjects, explores an alternate approach to this and highlights the unnoticed. The series consists of 3 interactive products, clock, lamp and nightlight, which are all connected to other tech devices using IOT. Clock detects all your verbal and virtual interactions using sensors and activates when it hears you talking around it. Lamp is a silent but peculiar being that mimics you as it senses you spending time on other devices. Nightlight, knows all about your bedtime. Through this project, the goal is to question - is this the direction towards where we want to be heading in the future of technology?
