Description

Public health crises, congestion and the ageing population have all driven future mobility into a more personal, flexible, and inclusive direction. Stria is a personal short-distance transportation blueprint made for Hong Kong in the context of 2040. Acknowledging the rapid rising but neglected mobility needs of the less active individuals, the design of the Stria electric vehicles takes into account the travel needs of different communities and can easily switch in between Sports mode, Support mode, Commute mode and Companion mode. The focus of the plan is more than the carrier itself but also having the aim to improve the future travel experience by innovating the sharing system. The modular parking and disinfection stations improve the efficiency in space use and management. Stria can switch to autonomous mode to 'call' and park at a certain distance, users no longer need to pick up and return the vehicle by themselves, achieving a true point-to-point seamless sharing transportation.
