Description

Recently, a survey showed that 90% of employees who took a proper lunch break felt more refreshed and ready to get back to work. However, many office workers in Hong Kong do not have real relaxation. We thus investigated this problem and came up with a design solution for mindful eating with Easy mode, Relax mode and Enriched mode. Our app aims to help users understand their emotional and physical state. The mindful audios guide users to conduct mindful eating. The mindful (dining) mat is at the same time a ritual setting and an interactive device that can detect the user’s eating pace by sensing the decrease of the food weight via a weighing pressure sensor. After each mindful exercise in Enriched mode, we provide information including warm tips, eating speed, eating duration and health news for users to reflect their personal growth. In the long term, we hope InMinder can relieve the busy life pace of the office workers. Take a real break in the process, and they will gain a lot.
