Description

Considering the huge globally effect of COVID, we hypothetically rethink what happens to the city and it is in-between with spacing. For example, the transition areas of bridges, the waiting areas in malls and circulation that happens between footbridges all presents an unique challenge for social distances in queuing and eating; disinfectant and other practicalities. This project deals with 5 specific scenarios that try and address the COVID pandemic in an urban setting. Using the ‘1.5 meter’ as the definitive social distance measure, all design or spatial propositions take precedent from these grid systems. Apart from designing topological pavilions, the setting also is scaled up to become a fully integrated urban system. This project will further show how the 5 various scenarios are materialized whether the as part of interior, exterior and in-between settings. Pavilions in project as the starting point ,hypothetically rethink it can develop to visual symbol system in future city.
