Description

The project aims to design a futuristic cemetery that ables to harmonize with the spatial practice of Hong Kong, preserve solemnity of cemetery, apply and accommodate the language and context of a busy city. The site located in the busiest district - central to maximise the bustling dynamic of the city and further entertain the cemetery invasion between high density buildings. Existed local cemetery has always located in rural area, however with the fact that the amount of death will only be increased. Putting cemetery back to urban area might be one of the direction of a future cemetery. The project is meant to design as a invasive form with aggressive extension to indicate the idea that cemetery should live with us. The cemetery included structure that can not be usually found in traditional cemetery but can be easily found in a city, with different religious elements fashion into a modern cemetery.
