Living in the turbulent era, different political, social and global events have drawn wide public attention to discuss who’s views are “truth”. Facing the problem brought from digital medium, “true” and “false” information have led to the battlefield, and “truth” is submerged in the high information flow. We seem to be held captive in the battlefield, but are we able to step back and understand the root of the problem? In this era, digital media and social media are important mediums for people to receive information, however, we ignore how the mediums we use will affect how people seek the truth. The power of media is far exceeds our expectations. It influences people’s cognition toward the world, our behavior, and way of thinking, and in turn, influences people’s behavior in seeking the truth. Understanding the media we use, rethink our current information dissemination and communication methods will help people seek the truth in this turbulent era.
