Description

Nowadays, memories are usually shared digitally. The Internet provides virtually unlimited storage for memories to stay for eternity. Some unpleasant memories, therefore, could keep on haunting and damaging one’s future. It is believed that evading one’s unpleasant past may not always be the perfect solution. Another possible way out is to face them instead, and the public should not take one’s past to judge their present.    This project uses a series of 4 stories to demonstrate the most common situations that the people concerned with their past might face. It is hoped that readers are able to learn attitudes including “embracing their past”, “focusing on the present”, “giving empathy”, “no backbiting” and more. While the methodology used to produce the art books also imply the message that the ‘ugly’ past can also be treated positively through applying the ‘anthotype’ photographic printing process.
