Social Robot Meme

MEME is a social robot helping people release negative emotions and stress caused by keeping secrets and holding complaints inside. It interacts with users when listening to their secrets and complaints. It offers a communication experience with in-the moment method, which means after every communication, the content will be erased so that users need not worry about any information leak.

The social robot system adopts natural language processing system, combining with a voice recognition technology in both English and Chinese. Feedbacks are given in the form of voice and emojis (imitates the facial expression), which makes the conversation both semantical and emotional. The robot is designed with a ball-shaped outlook which makes users more comfortable when sharing their complaints or secrets compared with talking to real human beings. Its small size also makes it portable. Users can take it anywhere and see it as a good companion in life.

Concept:

We want to build a social robot /AI product to help people release negative emotions and stress caused by keeping secrets and holding complaints inside. It will interact with the user when listening to their secret and complaints. The response from our product will be human-like through the communication. Moreover, we offer the communication through an in-the moment way, which means after the communication ends, the information will be erased so that the user will not worry about the information will be leaked out.

Background:

This idea comes from the situation that people nowadays are living under heavy stress. One source of stress comes from keeping secrets(gossips) or holding complaints back because they fear that once such information is spread out, they may get bad influence in their social life. However, holding such secrets/complaints/gossips is against human nature and is harmful for people’s well beings according to many researches’ results. Therefore, we want to design a social robot helping people letting out the negative emotions and eliminate their fear of secret leaking out at the same time.

Benefits:

1. Help stressful people release negative emotions;

2. Eliminate the risks to the most extent through self-disclosure;

3. Provide good companion.

PMT group-buying platform PMT併單平台

PMT is a service platform providing drinks and foods group buying service in universities.

As the food delivery service has been popular among lots of people especially for most millennials. It is expensive for most of the college students to pay for the delivery fee and it is difficult for individuals to reach the minimum order value.

PMT Objectives:
1) Help the college students feel less economic pressure by a low delivery fee.
2) Let the users have various choices with no minimum charge.
3) Help the restaurants near the school can get more orders in the afternoon time.

PMT是一個服務平台，主要在大學提供飲料和食品團購服務。

由於食品配送服務現今很受人們歡迎，特別是對於千禧一代。但對大多數大學生來說，不少平台的配送費用是很昂貴的，而且個人很難達到最低訂單額。

PMT目標：
1）通過低配送費幫助大學生減輕經濟壓力。
2）讓用戶有各種選擇，沒有最低費用。
3）幫助學校附近的餐館可以在下午時間獲得更多訂單。

Also helping to increase the orders for the restaurants near the schools to improve their their sales.

As the food delivery service has been popular among lots of people especially for most millennials. It is expensive for most of the college students to pay for the delivery fee and it is difficult for individuals to reach the minimum order value. Also, there is decreasing problem in specific period of the restaurants and the milktea shops located near the school. And these are the reasons why we want to launch PMT.
