Description

This project is the extension of the first-semester research regarding the History of Museums. The research consists of the museum development in the West and East. This project focused on the Forbidden City timeline that has made in the first semester.
Using the Forbidden City timeline to recreate a new history timeline with a different perspective(in a feminine perspective). The Feminine timeline has recorded different influential women figures life experiences and some historical incidents related to them.
Then the feminine timeline is further developed into a 3-dimensional presentation. By exploring the most suitable way to present the timeline and to enhance the experience of understanding the timeline, I attempt to combine the museum experience that have researched in semester 1 with my timeline. Therefore it was represented as a timeline box in which the timeline could be pulled out to a certain length and with multiple layers.
