Description

Montage in film means editing shots. It allows spatial relationships that are counterintuitive or even impossible. A film is an art form that possesses a comprehensive spatio-temporal structure, allowing us to see space re-composed and re-structured through time manipulation. If we see Montage as a possible generator of spatial design, the narrative of space may change into new sequences, stories and interconnectivity. Layers of information and spatial configurations may be re-structured creating new dimensional possibilities. This project focuses on the process of developing a methodology to montage narrative spaces through the reinterpretation of two-dimensional compositions to three-dimensional spatial constructs.
