Description

Paper offerings –– also known as “zhizha” –– are made of joss paper and are commonly burned in Chinese traditions. As with other consumer products, there is a growing need for customised paper offerings. Consumers are also willing to pay higher prices for customised paper offering products if they are available. By devoting more time, effort, and attention to the production of customised paper offerings, consumers will be able to develop a stronger sense of psychological ownership of the products. "The Present for Both 送禮同時自用" is a project about the process of making customised paper offerings is belongs to the sender and the receiver, comforting both dead and alive. Paper offerings no longer belong to the death, but it is a present for both. It is a gift to our loved ones, and also an experience of meditation at the same time.
