Description

Farm to Table is a social project in Mui Wo supported by the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department. It aims to promote local farming to the community. The future plan of Farm to Table is to hold weekend markets to showcase and sell their goods. Bicycles are used for transportation from the farms to the center of the village to deliver their locally produced vegetables. The idea is to transform the bicycle into a mobile store creating a weekend market, selling vegetables and to promote the activity of the organization. The mobile market is designed considering the different spatial stages of operation (open-closed) as well as being light weight and user-friendly when workers transport the vegetables from farm to farm and to the village center for setting up the weekend market.
