Title
PolyU MA graduation fashion show 2018
Description
"Twenty-one young designers graduating from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) showcased their dynamic creativity at the MA Fashion & Textile Design Fashion Show held by the Institute of Textiles and Clothing (ITC).
These graduating students studied Master of Arts (MA) in Fashion and Textile Design at PolyU. Each of them presented a unique collection of five to six outfits under a chosen theme of their own. Their works vividly demonstrated their personal identities, design handwriting and perspectives on fashion future. Voice sound tracks of the designers elaborating their design concepts were broadcast along with the catwalk of models to arouse the involvement of the audience.
The interactive show held on 26 June at The Mira Hong Kong opened with the highly praised "365+1 POLYU capsule collection" designed by the graduating students for the Swedish retail giant, H&M. The sustainable fashion collection, based on zero waste concept and wearable beyond 365 days a year, has been hailed as contemporary, transformational, functional, gender-easy, redefining the traditional understanding of sustainability and breaking down conventional boundaries of season, size and age."--ITC Website
